There will also be an "audience vote", so bringing your friends and family would be a great idea! However, please don'tassume that only the 'local groups' will be able to sway the audience. We know good a cappella when we hear/see it! No whiners allowed.

Scoring
Groups will be scored based on Musicality, Performance, Energy, and Creativity. If there are close decisions by the panel of judges, the audience vote will make the difference. Thefinal decision, however, will ultimately be reached through consensus of alljudges. The judges will award first, second and third place winners.Additional prizes may be awarded to each competing group, regardless ofplace. Again, no whiners allowed - these judges know what they are doing!

Prizes
We, the AACI, understand and appreciate the fact that a competition wouldn't be complete without some kind of incentive.  Though we are admittedly biased, we like to think our prizes are pretty sweet.
